Our Story
The Hughes Family has ranched south of Stanford since 1892 when William I. Hughes homesteaded 160 acres on Willow Creek. Since this time, land stewardship and sound animal husbandry have been a way of life. Hughes Mountain Ranch represents and promotes agriculture with similar innovative and conservation-minded efforts practiced by past generations.
We currently run a cow/calf operation which is managed to accommodate all native wildlife and preserve the natural landscapes of Judith Basin County.
